new aluvian gambling 9/27/2019

Post#1 » September 27th, 2019, 9:29 pm

this is a new gambling meta (based off of faith keeper's, which is based off of hell's wrath's) which works on holtburg casino on reefcull as of the date listed above

this version turns in high stakes gambling tokens until you have none, then turns in the resulting rewards other than scarecrows and mnemosynes until you have none left, and then sells all the treated kits/gems of stillness/great mana charges/pyreal peas at candeth treetop. finally, it returns you to the casino, and opens up vendor window with boddry the chancy before "/vt stop"'ing.

*you must manually purchase High stakes tokens (for now)
*you may start on south side of casino, in front of high stakes gamesmaster or in front of boddry the chancy (boddry only if you have tokens in your inventory already)
*your ties(and spells) must be:
LS tie (LS recall) - lytelthorpe
LS (LS sending) - Candeth keep
Primary (primary portal recall) - Holtburg
secondary (secondary portal recall) - base of timaru (from town network)
*your character must be flagged to use CK treetop, and must be able to go to timaru
*I have included an autopack file that puts all mnemosynes in the first 2 non-main packs, and scarecrows in the third. to make it work for your character, change name of file to "<charactername>.autopack.utl" and put it in your "Documents\Decal Plugins\Mag-Tools" folder

**NOTES**
*this is my first attempt at making a meta ever, so it is probably poorly written, though it does work. also, I don't know how to do certain things, so this is the bets I can do.
*I recommend having main pack empty, and using no more than 85 gambling tokens, because if you receive a lot of vapor golem hearts, your inventory will fill up quickly when you turn them in. also, if using autopack, having first 3 non-main packs empty.
*to use the autopack within the meta, change the state change in "CheckHighStake" line from "ToWings" to "autopack"
*meta opens a few extra doors that are close to its path, which slows it down slightly, but seems unavoidable
*meta would be Much faster if I could figure out how to drag main pack to vendor window, instead of selling treated kits and mana charges one at a time. however, I would probably wait until both this and autopack are both working, and add D notes to autopack file, so it doesn't automatically sell all D-notes at treetop.
*meta *could* be made fully automatic if I could figure out how to sell only 5 MMD's (instead of a full stack, or 1 at a time) to boddry, to buy 25 high stake tokens
*have noticed that sometimes when turning in gambling tokens, when you give stack to gamesmaster, gamesmaster seems to not give you stack back, however, if you relog, you will have stack of gambling tokens in your pack. when this happens, meta sees that you have tokens, tries to turn them in, but the game acts like you don't have them (says you need to pick them up first). solution is to relog and start the meta back up. unsure of cause, but assume either lag or packet loss. also, if you don't notice, it will eventually move on to the next step, so when you get to the end (in front of boddry) you will have 'phantom tokens'. if you relog, they will be in your inventory, and you can start the meta on "default" state and it will start using the rest of the tokens.
*also noticed that sometimes when turning in rewards, instead of giving the item to the collector, you put them on floor. if you see that, pick them back up, relog, and start meta in front of current collector on "default" state. that will fix and continue from current location.
*as I edit the meta/instructions, I will update the "last edit" date and time below

Companion meta to gambling meta:

requirements: LS sending set to CK (same as gambling meta)
just run it, it runs you to samsur (using CK's TN), then runs to mnemosyne collection site and turns in all your large mnemosynes for exp, then goes back to casino and turns in all scarecrows before "/vt stop"'ing

nothing special to add, except that if I ever figure out how to make gambling meta fully auto, I'll combine the 2 metas

I have completed a mostly automatic high stakes gambling meta (based off of faith keeper's, which is based off of hell's wrath's) which works on holtburg casino on reefcull as of 9/29/19 11:00 AM Central time

can be started at either boddry or in front of the high stakes gamesmaster

*your ties(and spells) must be:
LS tie (LS recall) - lytelthorpe
LS (LS sending) - Candeth keep
Primary (primary portal recall) - Holtburg
secondary (secondary portal recall) - base of timaru (from town network)
*your character must be flagged to use CK treetop, and must be able to go to timaru

will automatically sell trade notes and buy high stakes gambling tokens
will also turn in all rewards, most rewards will be turned in each cycle, mnemosynes >=48, pack scarecrows >=24
sells all sellable items (treated kits/gems of stillness/pyreal peas/great mana chages)
at end of each cycle, logs out in case of 'disapearing tokens' issue listed below
***to make meta fully automatic turn on auto relaunch, and set onlogin command "/vt start"

included are 2 other required files, both .utl files, and both must be placed in the "Documents\Decal Plugins\Mag-Tools" folder
the autopack file must be renamed as "<charactername>.autopack.utl"
autopack file moves all mnemosynes into first 2 non-main packs and all scarecrows into the third
boddry .utl file automatically buys high stakes gambling tokens and sells trade notes when necessary

**NOTES**
*this is my first attempt at making a meta ever, so it is probably poorly written, though it does work. also, I don't know how to do certain things, so this is the best I can do.
*I recommend having main pack empty, and using no more than 85 gambling tokens, because if you receive a lot of vapor golem hearts, your inventory will fill up quickly when you turn them in. also, if using autopack, having first 4 non-main packs empty.
*meta opens a few extra doors that are close to its path, which slows it down slightly, but seems unavoidable
*have not done anything with scarecrow rewards as of yet, will get to that eventually
