VT Looting help

Hello all,

Just came back to AC few weeks ago from a 5 year break. Having an issue with Virindi Tank looting.
It won't loot things that are anywhere but on top of me. When it DOES loot, it takes 2-3 tries of opening the corpse/closing it as if it's too far away.
Say I kill a Devastator; it won't loot because the mob is too big/too far away on the ground.

I've toggled with these:

CorpseApproachRange-Max [##]: The maximum approach distance for corpse looting

CorpeApproachRange-Min [##]: The minimum approach distance for corpse looting

setting each at 0, 5, 30, etc... different combinations with no luck.

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks in advance

Immortal,

Thanks for your reply.

I set the approach higher and still opens/closes the corpse several times, sometimes not able to loot items...

Sounds like you borked the values for CorpseApproachRange, you don't use integers on the advanced settings like you do on the main settings page.
You use the decimal value that is equal to the range, which is range/240.
A range of 5 translates to 0.0208333 in advanced options.

Same goes for issuing the chat command
Wrong - /vt opt set CorpseApproachRange-Max 5
Right - /vt opt set CorpseApproachRange-Max 0.0208333

Set them back to default and just use Approach on the main tab. Set approach to the same as your attack radius.

Do you have any other plugins running that attempt to loot as well? (magtools, gearfoundry, alinco)

Thanks for the help guys.

Again just came back, downloaded a bunch of plugins that sounded helpful/recommended to me.

I found MagTool > Under Misc > Auto Loot Corpses + Auto Loot Chests + Auto Loot My Corpse was checked.

I will reset the ranges for VTank, try this out and get back to you.

THANKS!

Ok, disabled a lot of things on Mag Tools, reset Virindi Tank to default settings as far as range goes.

This has helped tremendously. I've gone from 5-6 tries opening a corpse to on the first try/2 tries to open a corpse. It's at least looting which I'm happy with. Have not tried it on bigger mobs - when they died they drop further away.

Macro repeatedly opens and closes corpses when running on a high-latency connection

I run satellite internet with a latency of 500-1500 at all times (Sigh...)

Play around with the advanced options

BlacklistCorpseOpenAttemptCount [##]: The number of times the macro must attempt to open a corpse before it is blacklisted.

BlacklistCorpseOpenTimeoutSeconds [##]: The number of seconds an unopenable corpse is blacklisted for
