There are no calculations being done. CalcedTotalRatings is just the sum of all the ratings on the essence. For the others, for example DamRating>=6, if the DamageRating on the essence is 5 or less, it won't hit the rule and thus won't be picked up. It's up to you to decide what minimum values you can live with.
