Update - still no joy. The possible problem with my ISP doesn't seem to affect the game. When I run AC without Virindi enabled, I don't crash at all - at least not yet. Decal itself seems to make no difference, and other plugins make no difference either. I get some lag logging in with the new LT201...

You have given me another avenue to explore further. I had already started down the internet connection path when you wrote this. My first discovery was that my tcp/ip stack was heavily modified - I must have done that a couple years ago while fighting with a different ISP. It is back to normal now,...

I did delete the plugins folder, and I have had no luck yet with the disabling of one thing at a time. I did disable everything except vtank, and it didn't make a difference.
